Automation Recipe: Send an Information Email to a New Customer

Scenario:

Create a new automated rule: When a new lead reaches a “Sold” or “Signed” status, send an informational email to the new customer.

Instructions:

  1. From the Templates section of your JobNimbus Settings, select Add Template.
  2. Select Email.
  3. Input a Template Name, such as “Welcome for New Customers”.
  4. Within the white text box of the “Add Template” window, input the body of the email. As an example:
  1. Select + Add Template.
  2. Proceed to the Automations section of your JobNimbus Settings.
  3. Select + Add Rule.
  4. Input a Rule Name, such as “Welcome for New Customers”.
  5. Within the following line, select the statement “When a Contact is Created or Modified.
  6. Select + Add Condition.
  7. From the conditional statement, select “If Type is equal to” and select the name of the contact workflow in which your lead status resides (i,e. “Customer” or “Residential”). Ensure “Only if Type is modified” is unchecked.
  8. Select + Save.
  9. Select + Add Condition
  10. From the conditional statement, select “If Status is equal to” and select the name of your signed or sold status (i,e. “Signed”, “Sold”, etc.). Ensure “Only if Status is modified” is unchecked.
  11. Select + Save.
  12. Select the radio button for “Require all conditions to be true”.
  13. Select + Add Action.
  14. From the drop-down, select Send Email.
  15. Select + Continue.
  16. From the “Template” drop-down, select our newly created template for “Welcome for New Customers”.
  17. Input a subject, such as “Welcome!”.
  18. Select “Contact” as your desired recipient from the multi-choice drop-down menu.
  19. Select + Save.
  20. You will be returned to the Rule window. Once complete, select + Save. Your automation is now active.
