Built-in Reports

Purpose

The built-in reports show the value and quantity of all of your deals in each stage of the pipeline. This will help you keep track of the status of every deal.

Before we get into it

Before you get started, make sure you have created your workflows and added the appropriate stages to your statuses. If you need help creating your workflows, read our article on Workflows.

Overview

The Built-in Reports can help you with forecasting in your company. You can see which Lead Sources are closing the most deals, which Sales Representatives are bringing in the most revenue, and much more.

In order for your reports to collect the data they need, each Contact or Job needs to touch the statuses with the appropriate stage. If the Contact or Job skips the statuses with the lead stage, for example, that Contact or Job will not appear in the Lead Source report.

Accessing your Built-in Reports

To access your built-in reports, select "Reports" from the menu on the left.

This will take you to your Reports page. The built-in reports are on the left side. The built-in reports include the following reports:

  • Sales Pipeline
  • Sales Lead Source
  • Team Activity

If Jobs are enabled, the following reports will be available and should be used instead:

  • Job Pipeline
  • Job Lead Source

Sales Pipeline / Job Pipeline

The Sales Pipeline Reports uses the recorded time a Contact or Job passes through a specific status marked with the lead or sold stage to help you with forecasting. These reports will show you sold rates based on the occurrence of when a change in status occurred and reflects the records in groups under each active Sales Rep in a specific time period.

In the report view, you can:

  1. Choose between viewing the Most recent estimate and the Most recent invoice. If you have information in custom decimal or number fields, you can use those fields in your reports
  2. Change the Date Range for your report.
  3. Choose to only view Contacts that are currently in the Sold stage by checking the checkbox labeled "Current Stages".
  4. View your Sold Revenue data in graph form.
  5. View the percentage of Sold Rates in graph form.
  6. View the records organized by Sales Rep. These records are collapsible and can be expanded or collapsed by using the triangles to the left of the table titles.

If you have multiple Locations enabled, a drop-down option will be made available to choose which location you view.

Sales Lead Source

The sales lead source shows data of your Contacts based on the Lead or Sold workflow stage broken down by lead source. You can use this report to show you the close rates for each lead source you have so you can narrow in on what lead source works best for your company.

In the report view, you can:

  1. Change the Date Range for your report.
  2. Choose to only view Contacts that are currently in the Sold stage by checking the checkbox labeled "Current Stages".
  3. View the Lead Sources for your Contacts in Pie Graph.
  4. View the Data for Sold Rates by Lead Source in graph form.
  5. View the records organized by Lead Source. These records are collapsible and can be expanded or collapsed by using the triangles to the left of the table titles.

Team Activity

Activity creates productivity. The team activity report can be used to show team member activity during a specified date range. This shows who is using the system and what they are doing in JobNimbus.

In the report view, you can:

  1. Change the Date Range for your report.
  2. Check to show team members with no activity for the time period chosen.
  3. Add or remove columns from the report.
  4. View your team activity

Do's and Don'ts

Do

  • Add stages to your statuses in your workflows.

Don't

  • Use the built-in reports to replace your Contact or Job reports.

FAQ

  • Why is the Sales Pipeline Report not showing all sales?

Before your contacts will show on your report you will need to put your Contact into the status you have marked with the stage "Sold". If it has not been in that status then it will not show on the sales pipeline report.
