What Can Subcontractors See in the Mobile App?


Adding a Subcontractor

To add a subcontractor, click on your profile picture or initials in the top right corner of your account and select Team from the dropdown. 

Under the Team section, select the Invite team member button.

Note: Make certain that you have an available seat in the Field Role in order to add your subcontractor (indicated in the Roles section with "_ seats remaining" beneath the Role name. If you do not have an available seat, click here to learn to add seats to your subscription. 

Fill out your Subcontractor's information, then under the Roles section, select the Field option. Then, check the Subcontractor box.

This will give your subcontractors access to a version of the JobNimbus app built especially for Subcontractors. The Field role has access to the mobile app only. They do not have access to the web version of JobNimbus. 

Note: Make certain that you assign your subcontractors to an Access Profile that has access to View Work Orders. This will ensure that that they are able to see the Work Orders in their app. If they do not have this enabled on their Access Profile, they will not be able to view their Work Orders. 


Finish filling out the the new user's information and select the Save button at the bottom of the window. Once you have saved their information, they will receive a welcome email and will be able to login to the app.

What Can Subcontractors See in the Mobile App?

Subcontractors have access to the following. 

  • Photos
  • Forms
  • Assigned Tasks and Work Orders
  • The Job name and address

Subcontractors do not have access to financial data or other sensitive information.
