Pictured above, in order from left to right: 1. Attach an **image** to the message (MMS). Compose the message using a **message template.** 3. **Schedule** the message to send out at a later time. 1. Choose a **date** on the calendar. 2. Use the **slider** to specify the hour/minute when you want the message to send. 3. Add **emojis** to your message. 3. **Track the number of characters** you have used (up to 160 per credit if the message contains no emojis or special characters, up to 70 characters per credit if it does). 4. **Send** the text when you are ready. 1. If you have scheduled a message, this button will say **Schedule** instead. Navigating away from the page will automatically **save the message** that you have typed out in the Conversation tab. You will be able to pick up where you left off when you return to that thread. **Note:** Engage *does not* support group texting. --- ### Sending a Text on iOS - Select the **Engage icon** from your navigation. - Click on the **compose icon** at the top right to create a new message. - Add a recipient by either: - **Typing their name** in the "To" field, which will pull up matching results from the Contacts in your account, *or* - Entering the **phone number** manually. If the number matches an existing Contact, you can click on the name from the list that appears. - You may also send a text from a Contact's record by clicking on the **Text** tab located underneath the Contact's name and Status. - If you have multiple phone numbers associated with the record, you will be given the option to choose which one you wish to text. - Once you're ready to draft a message: ![](https://support.jobnimbus.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Mar-09-2026-05-57-58-1084-PM.png?width=326&height=706&name=image-png-Mar-09-2026-05-57-58-1084-PM.png) 1. **Type** your message in the text field. 2. **Select** an image. 3. Input a **[Message Template.](https://support.jobnimbus.com/how-do-i-create-text-message-templates?hsLang=en)** 4. **Schedule** the message to send out at a later time 1. Choose between **This Afternoon, Tomorrow Morning, Tomorrow Afternoon, or a Custom Time.** 2. If you have scheduled a message, there will be a callout above the keyboard indicating when your text will send. **Note:** Engage *does not* support group texting. --- ### Sending a Text on Android #### Within the Engage tab - Click on the **New message** button in the bottom right corner. - Add a recipient by either: - Typing their name in the **To field**, which will pull up matching results from the Contacts in your account. - - Selecting the grid icon on the right to **enter a number** from a keypad. If you have scheduled a message, there will be a callout above the keyboard indicating when your text will send. --- ### Troubleshooting Texts That Don't Send If a text doesn't go through, check these common causes. - **Your Engage registration isn't approved**: Carriers block texts from numbers without an approved registration. Check out the **Registration Failure Troubleshooting** section of [What Is Engage and How Do I Add It to My JobNimbus Account?](https://support.jobnimbus.com/what-is-engage-and-how-do-i-add-it-to-my-jobnimbus-account?hsLang=en) to resolve a failed registration. \[VERIFY: whether a pending or rejected registration lets you compose and then fails on send, or blocks the Engage tab entirely\] - **You're out of Engage Credits**: Texts won't send once your Credit balance runs out. To learn how to add Credits or turn on **Auto Recharge**, check out [What Are Engage Credits and How Do I Configure Them?](https://support.jobnimbus.com/what-are-engage-credits-and-how-do-i-configure-them?hsLang=en) - **Your customer opted out**: If a customer replies STOP or another opt-out word, texts to that number are blocked. They can opt back in by replying START, YES, or UNSTOP.
