How Will Invoices Sent From JobNimbus Affect My QuickBooks Income?

Learn how invoices sent through JobNimbus will affect your QuickBooks income section.

Invoices created in JobNimbus will require that each included line item is either pulled from the JobNimbus product list or is created new in that list. Those products will create a corresponding product in QuickBooks. The line items created and the amounts associated with those line items are  mapped to income accounts inside QuickBooks.

That mapping determines which account the revenue for that particular line on the invoice will be assigned in QuickBooks. 

A new product created in JobNimbus will automatically be assigned to a ‘JobNimbus Income’ account in QuickBooks Online. For QuickBooks Desktop you can manually choose which income account those are created in when setting up the sync. 


How do I change what account these products are assigned to in QuickBooks?


In QuickBooks Online

  • Navigate to Products and Services.
  • Select the edit for the product you wish to edit.
  • Find Income Account and select the correct account from the drop down.
  • Select  Save and Close.


In QuickBooks Desktop

  • Navigate to Lists and select Item List.
  • Double click on the item you wish to edit.
  • Locate the Account dropdown and select the correct income account.
  • Click OK to save.
