Mobile App: Uploading or Taking Photos

 

Mobile App:
There are two ways you can add photos to a contact or a job using the JobNimbus 2 mobile app. You can add photos from your phone after taking them, or you can take photos from within the mobile app. 

Icons of note: 

  • Attachments (Photos and Documents).

  • Action Menu (ellipsis icon): Where to upload and take photos.

Method 1:

  1. Go to the home screen (three horizontal lines on top right)
  2. Select a contact/job 
  3. Tap the three dots on the bottom middle of contact
  4. Tap the camera icon 
  5. Allow JobNimbus to take pictures and record video 
  6. Tap the blue circle on the bottom middle of the photo to save 
  7. Take photos then tap the green checkmark
  8. Tap save.

Method 2:

  1. Go to the home screen (three horizontal lines on top right) 
  2. Select a contact/job 
  3. Tap the three dots on the bottom middle of the contact
  4. Tap the Add Photos icon 
  5. Allow JobNimbus to access photos 
  6. Tap on photos to upload (they will turn slightly grey after tapping) 
  7. Tap Ok 
  8. Tap Save

  1. Tap on contact/job.

  2. Tap on the vertical ellipses icon.

  3. Tap on camera, or the icon below it to add photos from your in camera gallery.

  4. Tap the blue circle to take photos, tap the green check to begin the upload process
     
  5. Save photos or you may lose them.

  6. Tap the icon with the photo, document and paperclip to see all attachments.

  7. The photos now show on the contact. The picture icon has a number 4 to illustrate how many photos have uploaded to the contact.

Tips:
The size and amount of photos affect how fast they transfer to the web app. A strong Wifi connection should speed up this process. If you take large amounts of photos and your connection is mobile data only it may take longer for the photos to sync to the contact/job in the web app. 

If the photos still have not synced to the Web app after a few hours of strong Wifi connection (this may happen with large batches of high-resolution photos), try adding one photo to another contact (could be a test contact) this may help restart the photo sync.

Don't delete the app during a photo sync or you may lose your photos, especially if you took them from the app and are not uploading them from a phone gallery.
