QBO Error – “Duplicate Name Exists Error: The Name Supplied Already Exists. Another Customer, Vendor, or Employee Is Already Using This Name. Please Use a Different Name.”
Explanation: All “Display” names in QuickBooks must be unique. This error means the name supplied on the record is already in use in QuickBooks. It could be associated with another customer, vendor, or employee.
How to Fix:
Simply update the Display Name of the record within JobNimbus so that it is unique:
- Under the record's file, select the 3 dots in the top right corner
- Select Edit from the dropdown menu
- Update the contents in the Display Name field
- Save your changes
The record can now sync. Retry Records if needed.
