QBO Error - "Record cannot sync due to 'Custom line items'".

Explanation: This error occurs if you entered information prior to the Quickbooks sync as one-off line items on estimates/invoices without setting up a Product List.

Custom line items are not accepted in Quickbooks; all items must be entered into the product list within JobNimbus. 

How to fix:

  • In JobNimbus, select the 3 dots at the top right of an Estimate or Invoice

  • Choose Edit from the dropdown menu



  • Click on a line item begin to retype the name

  • Choose the appropriate item from the drop-down menu that appears (these will already be in your Product & Services)

    • Optional: click on "Add new product" if the item does not yet exist in your Products & Services

  • Hit Save
