How Can I Map JobNimbus Locations to QuickBooks Online Classes?

Classes from QuickBooks Online can be mapped to the Locations entered on the Company page in JobNimbus. 

Add Classes to QuickBooks:

  1. Login to QuickBooks Online
  2. Navigate to the gear icon in the top right corner
  3. Under "Lists" select All Lists
  4. Click into the "Classes" sectionScreenshot 2026-07-16 at 10.22.37 AM
  5. Select "New" in the top right

Once you have added the necessary classes in QuickBooks, you can map them to your JobNimbus locations. This ensures that the correct class is automatically applied to invoices in QuickBooks when synced from JobNimbus.

If you are using classes in QuickBooks per line item on your invoices, this feature will not work. Only classes added to the overall invoice will be affected by this mapping.

Map JobNimbus Locations for the Accounting Sync:

  1. Go to Settings in JobNimbus
  2. Select Accounting Sync on the left
  3. Toggle "Link Locations" onScreenshot 2026-07-16 at 10.33.16 AM
  4. Select the JobNimbus Location and the correlating Quickbooks Class
  5. Click the Update Settings button in the top right corner Screenshot 2026-07-16 at 10.45.43 AM

You can add multiple lines by selecting the "Add Another" button, then repeat step 4 and 5 until all desired locations are mapped.
