Overview:
The JobNimbus Web App offers a search bar feature in the top center of the app's page for searching for contacts, jobs, financial records and other documents found within the system. Below, is a general explanation of how the search bar displays its results.
Logic:
The search bar is capable of searching records within the system by various fields and points of data. Depending on the pre-determined priority of this data, the more a search result appears in these fields, the more likely it will appear at the top of search results. As an example, where the name of a contact appears in the last name, company and display name fields, these would be prioritized higher than a contact in which the name only appears in the last name and display name fields.
A list of the fields the search bar uses when searching for a record appear in descending priority (highest to lowest):
- Display name
- First name
- Last name
- Company
- Number
- Title
- Description
- Address line 1
- Address line 2
- Home phone
- Work phone
- Mobile phone
- Fax number
- Zipcode
- Filename
- Contact type
