What Do I Do if the Team Member I’m Trying To Add Already Has an Existing Login?

This article suggests how to address the error received when a team member's email address already exists.

Error: "A user with the same email address already exists."

If, when adding new team members to your JobNimbus account, you receive the above error message, try the following options:

  1. Choose a different email address for your team member.
  2. Have them continue using their existing account associated with the email in use.
    1. If they cannot access their account, have them recover their password to regain access.
  3. Have them disable their previous account.
    1. If they have been added as a team member to a different JobNimbus account but no longer wish to be part of that team, they will need to contact an admin from their previous team and request their login be disabled.
    2. If they are an owner of an existing JobNimbus account, but no longer wish to use that account, they will need to log in to their previous account and change their email address in their Profile.
      1. To change an email on an old JobNimbus account, click on your profile icon in the top right corner and select "Profile" from the drop-down menu. We recommend adding "+old" to your existing email address.
      2. For example, if your email is "", change the address on your old account to "". If you ever find you need access to that old account, you will still be able to log in using "".
