Profit Tracker
In the Profit Tracker tab in Insights, you can track the data from your Profit Tracker feature.
In order to access the Profit Tracker tab, select the three lines in the top left of the Insights tab, then select Profit Tracker.
Filters
At the top of the page, you will find a number of Tab filters that you can use to filter the data featured on the Profit Tracker tab.
Applying a Tab Filter will apply the filter only to the page you are currently on. All Insights filters are sticky, meaning they will remain on the page even if you navigate away from Insights and come back.
- Created Date allows you to adjust your data for the date range a Job was created.
- Completed Date allows you to adjust your data for the date range a Job was completed.
- Salesperson allows you to filter your data by selecting the sales rep(s) you want see data for.
- Lead Source allows you to filter your data by the lead sources that you have entered into your account, such as Facebook, Billboard, or Google Ads.
- Job Type allows you to filter your data by selecting from the list of Workflow names (or Job type names) such as Retail and Insurance.
Profitability Summary
The first tab under this section is the Profitability Summary.
The first chart shown is the Planned to Actual Gross (without commissions). This shows your planned gross and actual gross profit margins excluding commissions as a percentage, and your planned gross and actual profits excluding commissions as a dollar amount within a given timeframe. This allows you to easily compare your profit data.
The second chart is the Planned to Actual Net (with commissions) shows your planned net profit margin and actual net profit margins including commissions as a percentage, and your planned net profit and actual net profit including commissions as a dollar amount within a given timeframe.
Below these two charts, you will also find the number of completed Jobs for the given timeframe.
In the next section, you will find graphs detailing your Planned to Actual Gross Margin, Planned to Actual Net Profit Margin, Planned and Actual Revenue Trended, Planned to Actual Total Net Costs, which shows the data trending over time.
The next chart details the Revenue and Profit by Job Type, shown as a bar graph.
At the bottom of the page, you will find the Profitability by Lead Source data chart.
Profit & Loss
In the Profit and Loss tab, you will find charts detailing your Planned Profit and Loss as well as your Actual Profit and Loss.
Variance Analysis
In the Variance Analysis tab, you can view charts detailing your Variance Summary, Variance Summary by Salesperson, and Variance Summary by Job Type.
Sales and Commissions
The final tab in this section is the Sales and Commissions tab. Here, you can view a bar graph that illustrates the profitability of each salesperson, allowing for easy comparison.
Below this, you will find a data chart of Commissions Paid and Due, which includes the names of Sales Representatives, the corresponding Job names, and relevant commission details.
As you continue scrolling down the page, you will find the Paid Commissions as % of Revenue and Profit chart, which shows the percentage of total revenue and profit spent on commissions.
Just below that, you will find a chart called Profitability by Salesperson, which outlines each salesperson’s profitability. This includes a comparison of their performance against the Planned Gross Profit Margin, Planned Net Profit Margin, as well as the Actual Gross Profit Margin and Actual Net Profit Margin.
