What is the Fence Measurements Tool?

The Fence Measurements Tool is a tool within the JobNimbus mobile app that allows you to take a measurement of a customers desired fencing area by drawing lines on an overview map and exporting the measurements to a PDF.

To learn how to enable and use the Fence Measurements Tool, follow the steps below.

Enabling the Fence Measurements Tool

  • In order to enable the Measurement Tool, click on your profile picture or initials in the top right corner of your screen, then select Settings.
  •  In the Settings menu on the left, select the Features option.
  • Toggle the Fence Measurements option on.

  • JobNimbus mobile app users will now be able to use the Fence Measurement tool by following the steps below.

Using the Fence Measurements Tool on iOS

  • Navigate to the Job that you would would like to take a measurement for and select the Measurements option from the Files tab.
  • Select the Measure button next to Fence Measurements.
  • Tap on the map to indicate a point, then tap another spot to connect the two points.

  • You can move the points to adjust the line by dragging the points to a different location.
  • Once you have drawn the lines, they will display an estimated measurement on the top right of the screen.
  • To save your measurement, tap the check mark at the top of the screen. Here, you will be given the option to either Save & Exit the measurement tool, or Save & Export the measurement to a PDF.

Using the Fence Measurements Tool on Android

  • Navigate to the Job that you would would like to take a measurement for and select the Measurements option from the Files tab.
  • Select the Fence Measurements button.

  • Tap on the map to indicate a point, then tap another spot to connect the two points.

  • You can move the points to adjust the line by dragging the points to a different location.
  • Once you have drawn the lines, they will display an estimated measurement on the top right of the screen.
  • To save your measurement, tap the check mark at the top of the screen. Then select the Save & Export option to export the measurement to a PDF.
