Why Are Estimate Emails Being Sent Multiple Times?

If a customer opens an Estimate link seven days or more after it was sent, JobNimbus emails them a new link.

How Long the Link Lasts

JobNimbus limits how long an Estimate link stays active to protect unauthenticated access to the document. On a New Sales Experience (NSE) Estimate, the link you send for a customer to view or sign the Estimate expires seven days after you send it.

Note: This seven-day window applies to New Sales Experience Estimates. Legacy Estimates use a longer, 30-day window instead. Check out this article to learn about Legacy Estimate signature links.

Why This Causes Multiple Emails

If a customer clicks the link seven days or more after you sent it, JobNimbus does not just show an error. It automatically sends them a new email with a fresh, valid link so they can pick up where they left off. This is why a customer may receive more than one email about the same Estimate: every time they open a link that is seven days or older, JobNimbus sends another one.

These follow-up emails are not logged in the Job or Contact's activity feed. They are only tracked in JobNimbus's internal email server, so you will not see a record of them there.
