Tracing one job is faster than reconciling a whole total. Then work through the checks below in order. ### Check What the Number Counts Each Analytics number follows a set definition. To see them inside Analytics, select **Definitions** in the top right. These are the most common reasons a number differs from what you expect: - **Only Approved or Invoiced Estimates count toward Total Sales.** An Estimate in any other status adds $0, even if it has a dollar amount. - **Every qualifying Estimate counts.** If a job has more than one Approved or Invoiced Estimate, such as a change order written as a second Estimate, they all add to Total Sales and to Estimate counts. The job itself still counts once. - **A sold job counts in the period it most recently reached Sold.** If a job leaves the Sold stage and comes back, the Sold Date moves to the newer date. A change order, an Automation, or a bulk status change can all cause this. - **Average Sale includes $0 jobs.** It divides Total Sales by every sold job, including sold jobs with no Approved or Invoiced Estimate. - **Jobs and Contacts are counted separately.** One Contact can have several Jobs, so a Contact count and a Job count won't match. Check out [What Is Analytics?](https://support.jobnimbus.com/what-is-analytics?hsLang=en) for the full list of definitions. ### **Check Your Filters and Date Range** Filters you select in Analytics stay applied after you leave and come back. A filter set last week can still be hiding data today. 1. Hover over the Chart and select the **three dots**. 2. Select **Filters Applied** to see which filters are on. 3. Sold numbers, including Total Sales, use the job's Sold Date, not the Estimate date or the date the work was done. The Close Rate tiles on the Leads & Close Rates dashboard are the exception: they use fixed time windows and ignore the Date Range filter. If an Analytics AI answer doesn't match a dashboard, make sure your question names the same Date Range and filters the dashboard uses. ### **Find the Job in the Data** 1. Hover over the Chart, select the **three dots**, then select **Explore**. 2. If the job still isn't there, the cause is usually in the job's records. ### **Check the Job's Records** Open the job in JobNimbus and check the following: - **The job reached the Sold stage.** A job counts as sold once it reaches a status that maps to the Sold stage in your workflow. - **The job has an Approved or Invoiced Estimate.** A sold job with no Estimate, or with an Estimate that was never approved, adds $0. Approve the Estimate to include it. - **The change is more than an hour old.** Analytics data refreshes about once an hour. To see when a Chart last updated, select the **three dots** and check **Query Ran...** If a change you made before the **Query Ran...** time still isn't showing, contact JobNimbus Support with the job name and the dashboard you're checking.
