Who Can Delete Documents and Photos

Deleting a document or photo requires the Delete Records permission on your access profile. This same permission also controls deleting Contacts, Jobs, and activity in the Activity tab.

If you have access to edit access profiles: Click on your profile icon or initials in the top right corner, then select Settings. In the Settings menu on the left-hand side, select Access Profiles, then select the three dots next to the relevant profile and choose Edit. In the Feature Access section, turn on Delete Records.

If you don't have access to edit access profiles, ask an admin on your account to turn it on for you.

  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted by selecting OK.

Deleting a Photo

  1. Open the Job or Contact with the file you want to remove and navigate to the Photos tab.

Before You Delete

Deleted files can't be recovered. Photos can never be recovered, even those taken with the JobNimbus Mobile App. Download a copy before deleting if you want to keep it.

If you delete an entire Job or Contact and later restore it, its attached files come back too. Files deleted individually beforehand stay gone.

Files You Can't Delete

A few file types are blocked from deletion by design:

  • Company Documents already in use: A Company Document can't be deleted, individually or in bulk, while it's attached to an email, activity, or any other record. Remove every reference to the document first, then delete it.

    Example:

Note: If a document or photo won't delete and doesn't match either case above, contact Support so the record can be checked directly.
