How to Update Estimate Statuses
In order to update an Estimate's status, go to the Job where the Estimate was created.
Then, select the Estimates tab on the left-side menu.
Next, click the down arrow under the Status heading to reveal the status options. Select the status you would like to update the Estimate to.
Estimate Status Definitions
Sent: The Sent status indicates that the Estimate has been emailed to the customer.
Draft: This status indicates that the Estimate has not yet been sent and may still need additional items added.
Denied: This status indicates that the estimate has not been approved by the customer, and may be used in cases such as the customer asking for a different estimate or backing out. This status can only be applied manually.
Approved: This status is automatically applied when an Estimate has been signed, but you may also manually edit the status to be Approved so that you can convert your estimate to other financial documents (see the link below).
Invoiced: Indicates that the Estimate has been sent and approved, and that it has now been converted to an Invoice.
Void: This status is used to void an estimate and mark the dollar amounts as zero to avoid skewing your reporting. This can be applied in situations such as when the wrong or duplicate estimate has been sent.
