# How Do I Use Advanced Workflows?

## Advanced Workflows allow you to customize which access profiles can view designated workflows.

### Enable Advanced Workflows

Enabling this feature will allow you to limit which team members have permission to move records to selected Statuses, based on their assigned [Access Profile](https://support.jobnimbus.com/can-i-give-my-team-members-different-access-permission-in-jobnimbus?hsLang=en).

- Click on your **profile icon or initials** in the top right corner and choose **Settings** from the dropdown menu.
- Within the Settings menu on the left under the **General section**, select the **Features option.**
- Toggle the switch next to **Advanced Workflows.**

### Using Advanced Workflows

- Within the Settings menu under the **Workflows & Fields section**, select the desired **workflow option** **(Job Workflows, Contact Workflows, or Work Order Workflows).** 
    - For this example, we will use Job Workflows, but the process is the same for Contact and Work Order Workflows.

- In the Edit Workflow window, there will now be a new column for **Access Profiles**.![](https://support.jobnimbus.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-May-20-2025-04-29-30-2514-PM.png?width=513&height=523&name=image-png-May-20-2025-04-29-30-2514-PM.png)
- To update which Access Profile has permission to interact with a specific Status, click on the **three dots** to the right of the **Status** and select **Edit** from the dropdown menu.

- Click on the **This status is accessible to** field and select your desired Access Profile(s) from the dropdown menu.  
    - Make sure to remove the **All Profiles** option from this field if you do not wish for all user to have access to the Status by clicking the "X" in the right corner of the Access Profile name.
- Click **Save** to save your changes to the Status.

    - If you do not select the Update button, ***your changes will not be saved.***

**Note:** Be aware that assigning a Status to an Access Profile will block a Full Access user from being able to change a record to that status if they are not part of the specified Access Profile.
