What is Podium?
Podium offers a way to interact with your customers to create trust in you and your company. Using the integration, you can set up automations to send out texts and receive reviews.
Integrating with Podium
Before you start using Podium, you will need to do two things, you will need to
- Contact Podium.
- Enable the integration in JobNimbus.
To contact Podium, you can call them at 1-833-276-3486. This will let them know you are ready to integrate Podium with JobNimbus and give you the best scope of support you can receive.
To enable the integration, click on your name in the top right corner and select "Settings" from the drop-down menu. In your Settings, select API from the menu on the left.
In your API tab, click on the blue "New API Key" button on the right.
This will pull a section for you to create the API key.
In the API key creator:
- Write Podium in the Description text field. This is currently not in the drop-down menu, but you can click enter to save Podium.
- Select an Admin as the Access Profile.
- Click "Save".
After Podium has received your API key, you can then set up your customer's desired flows within Podium. Login to Podium, click on Manage in the top menu bar and select "Automations" from the drop-down menu.
A new window will pop up giving you the choice of automation types.
The “Custom Message” automation type will be the easiest automation to create the flows exactly how you want them. Using the automation setup tool, create your Podium automation.
After you create your automation, you can then use the scheduling tool to choose the time-frame that you'd like for the message to send.
After you have scheduled your automation, you can define your audience. You can choose if you’d like the message to go to your entire customer base or if the message will be fired based on specific status changes.
You can then specify the frequency with which you want the message to fire. Most automations should be left on the default option, Send once per trigger.
The template section is where you can draft the actual message you would like to send out to your customers.
Once you have completed the steps in the automation setup tool, you can then use the summary page to review everything before completing the automation. Once you have reviewed the automation and saved it, you're done!
Using the integration, JobNimbus will send Podium your Contacts' information, so Podium can send text messages to your Contacts.

- Will Podium send the text messages back to the Contact in JobNimbus?
At this time, Podium does not send the text message back to JobNimbus. You can always view your text messages in the automations you created in Podium.
