How Can I Move a Contact or Job Into Another Status Using Boards? (Web)
You can change the Statuses of your records by moving Cards within the Boards.
Note: Cards can only move from one List to another if the assigned Statuses belong to the same Workflow. Learn more about this here.
To Move Cards on Boards
There are two ways to move your Job/Contact Cards on your boards:
- Drag and drop the Card to the desired List to change the Status of the record you are moving.
- For example, dragging the "Jane Tester" card to the Job Close Out list will change the Status from Pending Payment to the status applied to the Job Close Out List.
- For example, dragging the "Jane Tester" card to the Job Close Out list will change the Status from Pending Payment to the status applied to the Job Close Out List.
- To move a Card on your Board without dragging and dropping, click on the three dots on the top right on your chosen card.
- Select the Move to option and select the List you would like to move it to from the dropdown menu
Note: Be aware that the name of a List does not dictate the status that is applied to a List. The Status is determined by what workflow status is applied to a given List in the board settings. To learn more about how to view and edit the statuses applied to your board, click here.
