How Do I Request a Down Payment in the New Sales Experience?

Users who are utilizing the embedded SumoQuote experience and JobNimbus Payments have access to the feature for requesting and processing down payments. To Request a Down Payment:

  • Access the Authorization page within the Estimate builder and scroll down to the Deposit section to toggle on the job deposit request.

  • Once selected, the window will expand to allow you to add details about the down payment being requested.

    • The description can be customized to the wording of your choice.
    • You have the option to request the deposit in either a specific dollar amount or as a percentage of the total cost.
  • Once the request is sent to the homeowner, they will be able to view the job deposit request in the quote summary.
    • For deposits requested in a specific dollar value, the amount will be shown along with the other selected quote details.

    • The percentage for deposit will be determined based on the homeowner's selections from the available quotes and any optional upgrades chosen. The total will adjust accordingly as different choices are made.

  • In a situation where there is one signer, once the quote is signed, the homeowner will be automatically redirected to the checkout flow.
  • In scenarios with multiple signers, each signer will receive emails to sign the estimate. Once all signers have signed the estimate, the last signer will be redirected to the checkout flow.

      • If any of the signers fail to complete the down payment checkout process after signing, an email will be sent to remind all signers to submit the required payment.

      • If "Person A" receives the email and completes the job deposit request, and later "Person B" opens the email to initiate the process, they will be notified on the screen that the payment has already been completed.
